Formostofthedevelopingcountries,itisagoodideatocontrolthepopulationgrowth.Forexample,Chinahascarriedoutbirthcontrolforyears.Andthisplanhasagreateffectontheworldpopulation.

Ifthepopulationcontinuestoincrease,iftheairandwatercontinuetobepolluted,ifwedon"tdosomethingtoprotectwild-plantandwildlifespecieswillbedeclining.Speciesandbiologicalmunitieshavedifficultyadaptingtochange.Economicopportunitiesandthequalityoflifeoffuturegenerationsarealsoputatrisk.Byprotectingnature,weprotectourselves.
