老鼠杰瑞既聪明又勇敢。有一次，老鼠杰瑞被它的天敌——汤姆猫“追杀”。它居然毫不慌张，而是镇定地按着自己粘的往洞里的箭头，不紧不慢地逃进自己的洞。它刚回到家，马上就启动了它的“小型私人飞机”，离开了老鼠洞飞上了“天空”，想和汤姆猫来一个“殊死搏斗”。飞机上放着十个番茄和十二个圣女果。只要它看见汤姆猫进入了飞机的放“炮”范围之内，就赶忙用弹射器对准汤姆猫抛去了一个番茄或圣女果。一会儿打左边，一会儿打右边，打得汤姆猫晕头晕脑，满脸全是红色的番茄汁。老鼠杰瑞一看局面已经在自己的预料之下，便立刻开着飞机离开了汤姆猫“受罪”的“现场”，进入了它的老鼠洞。
