IncludingthestatesofAlaskaandHawaii,whicharenotseeninthismapofthecontinentalUnitedStates,thecountrycoversanareaof9,363,123squarekilometers.OfthefiftystatesofthecountryAlaskaisthelargestinarea,andHawaiiisthenewest.TheformerbordersonnorthwesternCanada:thelatterliesinthePacific.
